Ministry eyes global digital tax to bring budget billions rubles
MOSCOW, Sep 8 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Finance Ministry has estimated the budget revenue from a discussed supranational digital tax at tens of billions of rubles annually, Deputy Minister Alexei Sazanov said on Wednesday.
“According to our conservative calculations, it will be tens of billions of rubles, with luck, annually,” Sazanov said.
Deputy Digital Development Minister Maxim Parshin said on September 2 that details of the so-called digital tax introduction for global companies in the country could be disclosed in November.
Earlier, 130 countries supported the reform of the international tax system under the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, so that the large transnational corporations would pay taxes where they earn money regardless of their physical presence.
